The other day, Ivan Reitman’s son, Jason made it public that he would LIKE to direct a Ghostbusters sequel that takes place 30 years after the events of Ghostbusters 2. This made nerds everywhere super excited at the idea that it MIGHT be happening… Well, Jason was playing a little bit, because it IS coming next summer. It’s been written, and begins filming in a few months. They even already have a teaser trailer produced that came out yesterday. It doesn’t have any scenes from the movie, but closes in on an old barn with strange sounds coming from it. Finally, you hear the unmistakable sound of a proton pack firing up and a car cover blowing up off of a vehicle, revealing the old Ecto 1 underneath.
Dude. I hope they’re all back… Except, obviously, for Harold Ramis, who died in 2014.
