The Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins have been heated rivals for a very longtime and on Monday night things took an ugly turn when Penguins star Evgeni Malkin was ejected for swinging his stick at an opponent’s head. It was late in the third period when Michael Raffl cross-checked Malkin and punched him in the back of the head. Malkin didn’t take kindly to it and swung his stick around one-handed and was given a match penalty which will be reviewed by the league.
