If you weren’t watching the Washington Redskins vs. Cleveland Browns preseason game (we don’t blame you) then you missed rookie return specialist for the Browns, Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi. He tore up the field 86 yards and untouched most of the way. Why did the team celebrate the meaningless touchdown? Four months ago he was sleeping outside because he couldn’t afford a hotel! In April, Sheehy-Guiseppi went to a Brown’s workout in Miami that he heard from “a friend of a friend made through a flag football league in Arizona.” Sheehy-Guiseppi wasn’t invited to the tryout, but he still showed up anyway. He spent $200 to train with well-regarded NFL trainer Pete Bommarito, spent two nights on the grass outside the facility and one night at a 24-hour fitness center when his stay ran longer than he expected.

He talked his way into a contract with the @Browns and today he scored an 86-yard punt return TD!
