93X has learned that Sublime are set to release their first album of original material since their self-titled major label debut in 1996. That album was their last because shortly before its release, lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Brad Nowell passed away from a drug overdose.
In 2009, drummer Bud Gaugh and bassist Eric Wilson began performing Sublime material again, with Rome Ramirez stepping into Nowell's giant-sized shoes. Due to legal complications, the group has taken to calling themselves Sublime with Rome.
There's no release date for the album, but there are a ton of Sublime With Rome concerts coming up, including a few Canadian dates. You can see the trio here:
