Despite Godsmack being on a short hiatus from recording and touring, front-man Sully Erna apparently can’t keep still. Erna announced in January that he would embark on a US tour this summer promoting his solo side project. (No dates have been confirmed for the Twin Cities as of yet) If a solo American tour wasn’t enough to keep busy, Erna was also just recently cast in Woodhaven Pictures’ upcoming horror flick “Army of the Damned.” Erna will join a diverse cast with the likes of Michael Berryman, Nick Principe, former NSYNC member, Joey Fatone and former professional wrestlers Tommy Dreamer and Thea Trinidad. Filming for the Tom DeNucci directed flick starts in April.

Don’t worry Godsmack fans, Erna did promise that in late 2013 or early 2014, the band will return to the studio to start recording their sixth album.
