Dexter Holland: Singer, Guitarist, Scholar
4:54PM Thursday
March 21, 2013

Its fair to say that Dexter Holland, singer of The Offspring, is a busy dude. The Offspring is on tour now supporting their "Days Go By" album and making their way to Cadott, Wisconsin for this year's Rock Fest. Apparently though he has found time to write and publish a research paper.

Turns out Holland was working his PhD at USC when The Offspring released "Smash" and made it big. Now it appears he is back at it. The title of the paper is: “Identification of Human MicroRNA-Like Sequences Embedded within the Protein-Encoding Genes of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus.”  We'll get back to you when we figure out what the hell that means.
