93X has learned Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic says in a new interview that he is more than open to a tour with VanHalen frontman David Lee Roth fronting the group.
Nirvana recently reunited for drummer Dave Grohl's new documentary, "Sound City." Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and guitarist Pat Smear teamed up with Paul McCartney to record a new song, "Cut Me Some Slack," for the project and its companion soundtrack.
Novoselic was asked if he would tour with McCartney as the band leader for a full-scale Nirvana reunion tour. He replied, "Absolutely I would."
Asked if he would tour with Van Halen's David Lee Roth as frontman, Novoselic said, "I love David Lee Roth. I would tour with David Lee Roth because I think he's great.
"And it wouldn't be some oldies review: if we put a band together and we were making music and we felt good about it – and there was that passion and that spark – I'd do it in a second."
