What do you do when both of your bands kick you out? For Stone Temple Pilots/ Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland the answer is simple. Weiland has just announced that he’ll be launching a new solo tour next month where he’ll be performing tracks from the band's first two albums: 1992’s Core and 1994’s Purple. That outing, dubbed the Purple at the Core tour, begins on March 1 at The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan and will make stops in Boston, New York, Chicago and Houston, among other cities. He also play selections from his solo catalog as well as Velvet Revolver.

More dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
