NEW ALBUMS

BON IVER – BLOOD BANK EP 10TH ANNIVERSARY REISSUE

The two-time Grammy winning Eau Claire indie darlings, Bon Iver, have reissued their 2009 Blood Bank EP.

The 10th Anniversary Reissue (though it came out 11 years ago) features all four of the EP’s original tracks, plus full-band live renditions.

CORIKY – CORIKY

Coriky is a new band from D.C. comprised of Joe Lally of Fugazi, Ian MacKaye of Fugazi, Minor Threat and The Evens, and MacKaye’s wife Amy Farina of The Evens and The Warmers.

BRIAN FALLON – LOCAL HONEY

Remaining faithful to the Bruce Springsteen playbook, Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem has just turned in his most introspective album to date.

Not only is Local Honey reminiscent of The Boss’ Nebraska, Ghost of Tom Joad and last year’s Western Stars; but the entire 8-song album brings to mind the best of Gaslight Anthem‘s softer side, and Fallon’s own Horrible Crowes project from 2011.

IN THIS MOMENT – MOTHER

In This Moment‘s seventh studio album, Mother, has arrived.

Among the 14 new tracks on the album, you’ll also find a cover of Queen‘s “We Will Rock You” featuring Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless.

ME AND THAT MAN – NEW MAN, NEW SONGS, SAME SHIT, VOL. 1

Me and That Man is a dark and brooding blues/rock/country side-project of Behemoth‘s Nergal (Adam Darski).

Their second album, New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1, features plenty of guest musicians and vocalists…

…including “How Come?” which features Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour), Brent Hinds (Mastodon) and Rob Caggiano (Volbeat).

NINE INCH NAILS – GHOSTS V: TOGETHER & GHOSTS VI: LOCUSTS

Nine Inch Nails just dropped two new albums, Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts that you can download for FREE from their website.

Front man Trent Reznor tweeted the news Thursday morning, saying:

“Hours and hours of music. Free. Some of it kind of happy, some not so much.”

The new albums (representing Halos 33 & 34, if you’re a big NIN fan) serve as sequels to 2008’s Ghosts I-IV.

PEARL JAM – GIGATON

The release of Pearl Jam‘s Gigaton ends the longest gap between albums (7 years) in their 30 year career.

Speaking of Gigaton to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe back in January, Stone Gossard described their experimentation with new sounds and styles, noting that the record captures “the spirit of the band.”

DANIEL ROMANO’S THE OUTFIT – OKAY WOW

Daniel Romano is a punk rocker turned traditional country artist turned… experimental indie-folk singer?

The prolific songwriter has released a new live album which pulls from his extensive catalog. Even if you’re unfamiliar with Daniel Romano, Okay Wow will serve as a solid garage rock album.

SINGLES

BRIGHT EYES – PERSONA NON GRATA

Much to the delight of Conor Oberst/Bright Eyes fans everywhere, Bright Eyes have returned from their 9 year hiatus with news of a new album in 2020, and new single “Persona Non Grata”.

BUTCH WALKERPRETTY CRAZY

Butch Walker‘s been in the game for a long time. He was the guitarist for hair band Southgang; he was the leader of the power-pop group Marvelous 3 in the 90s, produced everyone from Katy Perry to Weezer to Harry Connick, Jr. to Green Day‘s Father of All…

On Friday, March 27th, he announced his 10th solo album (which will be a rock opera), American Love Story (May 8th), by releasing lead single “Pretty Crazy”.

MISCELLANEOUS

STONE SOUR – MADE OF SCARS DEMO

“Made Of Scars” was written in 1996 but didn’t get recorded for the 1st time until summer of 2000. For whatever reason, it did not make the self titled record but would make it on the Come what(ever) May record”.
