This week’s new releases offer a mix of fresh studio albums and deluxe reissues, with Chevelle and Rise Against dropping their latest records, while The Cranberries and Van Halen celebrate classic albums with expanded anniversary editions. CHEVELLE – BRIGHT AS BLASPHEMY
Chevelle‘s 10th album, Bright as Blasphemy, showcases the band’s signature blend of heavy riffs and melodic vocals. The band’s first album in four years, contains the hit lead single, “Rabbit Hole – Cowards, Pt. 1.”

THE CRANBERRIES – NO NEED TO ARGUE (30TH ANNIVERSARY/SUPER DELUXE EDITION)
The Cranberries are commemorating the 30th anniversary of their album No Need to Argue with a deluxe edition featuring newly remastered audio and previously unreleased demos and live recordings. The collection includes tracks from their Woodstock ’94 performance as well as new remixes by Iain Cook of CHVRCHES.

THE HEAVY HEAVY – LIVE
The Heavy Heavy‘s new live album, simply called Live, is a ten-track collection featuring both live concert performances and live in-studio sessions. The A-side of the album includes songs recorded during their recent tour, with performances captured in San Francisco, London, Chicago, and New York. The B-side, recorded during live “in-the-room” studio sessions, features their cover of Father John Misty‘s “Real Love Baby,” as well as a cover of Khruangbin & Leon Bridges‘ “Texas Sun.”

RISE AGAINST – RICOCHET
Rise Against‘s new album, Ricochet, is their first full-length record in four years and was produced by Grammy winner Catherine Marks, who is known for her work with artists like St. Vincent and Boygenius. The album explores how our actions create a “ricochet effect” in an interconnected world, with critics noting its more polished, arena-rock sound compared to their earlier work.

VAN HALEN – BALANCE (EXPANDED EDITION) DELUXE BOX SET
Van Halen is releasing a deluxe, expanded edition box set of their 1995 album, Balance, which includes a 2023 remastered version of the album and a collection of rare tracks. The set features non-album B-sides and the two songs from the Twister soundtrack, “Humans Being” and Eddie & Alex Van Halen‘s “Respect the Wind.” It also contains eight previously unreleased live tracks from a 1995 Wembley Stadium concert and a Blu-ray with remastered promo videos.
