Minnesota Krampus keeps the old Alpine tradition alive . . . the one where a giant,
horned, furry creature shows up to scare kids straight before Christmas. Except here in
Minnesota, they’re surprisingly polite about it. They’ll growl, they’ll jingle ominous
bells, but they’ll still hold the door for you. Midwestern at heart.
They present the folklore of Krampus through performance, education, and community
engagement.
They appear throughout the holiday season to demonstrate traditional customs
associated with Krampusnacht.
Where can you find them this weekend??
