A grown man’s attempt at nostalgic fun turned into a cramped and embarrassing predicament when he became wedged inside a tube slide at a Vernon, Connecticut, elementary school playground.
Emergency crews were called to the scene to find the 40-year-old stuck feet-first in the middle of the slide. Firefighters worked for 30 minutes to stabilize the playground equipment and extract the man, who was given oxygen for his “extreme discomfort” and refused any further medical attention.
Best part? The Town of Vernon Fire Department posted the incident to Facebook while also using the opportunity as a call-to-action for recruiting new volunteers.
Turns out some childhood dreams are just not meant to be revisited.
