A young Padres fan learned the hard way that running onto a Major League Baseball field isn’t a game. During a recent San Diego win, the overeager youngster was tackled by not one, but three, security guards, drawing loud boos from the crowd at Petco Park.
The heavy-handed takedown even caught the attention of a Padres reliever who was seen on camera making a sympathetic “ouch” face. While some fans were unhappy with the security’s aggression, former MLB player Adam Jones took to social media to support the guards, arguing that such stunts are a dangerous “unacceptable” disruption.
