Racing venues take extensive precautions to ensure the safety of both competitors and spectators, but risks remain high given the speeds involved. A recent MotoGP qualifying event at Balaton Park in Hungary highlighted these dangers when rider Pedro Acosta crashed, sending his motorcycle airborne toward a camera tower.
The cameraman narrowly dodged the flying bike, which was captured on video. While he was unharmed, his camera was damaged.
The scary incident serves as a reminder that despite safety measures like fencing, unexpected and dangerous events can still occur, prompting venues like Balaton Park to potentially re-evaluate their protective barriers.
Our cameraman, Joao, avoiding @37_pedroacosta's bike impact is probably the most shocking video you'll see today! 😮
