Judas Priest have released their cover of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” featuring co-lead vocals from Ozzy and Priest’s Rob Halford.
Sharon Osbourne facilitated the collaboration by providing new vocal tracks from Ozzy, leading to Halford’s first-ever duet with Ozzy.
Proceeds from the “War Pigs” cover will benefit the charities Cure Parkinson’s and The Glenn Tipton Parkinson’s Foundation, supporting Ozzy and Priest guitarist Glenn Tipton, who both have Parkinson’s disease.
Priest released their first “War Pigs” cover as a tribute to Ozzy before his retirement concert, Back To The Beginning, which took place near his hometown in Birmingham.
Following Ozzy’s death, Priest paid tribute to him during a concert in Scarborough, UK, and two documentaries about his final years dealing with Parkinson’s and spinal surgeries will be released in October.
