THE BASEBALL PROJECT – GRAND SALAMI TIME
New York-based supergroup The Baseball Project (R.E.M./The Dream Syndicate, The Minus 5) have returned with their first new album since 2014. Grand Salami Time continues their tradition of performing rock songs with a baseball theme.
TWINS FANS! For your amusement, check out the 2011 song “Don’t Call Them Twinkies”. The song features lead vocals from Craig Finn (Lifter Puller/The Hold Steady) and contain the lyrics “You should watch it in slow motion/Ron Gant was clearly out“.

After releasing the standalone single, “Something Real” in 2020, Deaf Charlie will release their debut album, Catastrophic Metamorphic this week. The duo features Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament and former Fitz and the Tantrums drummer John Wicks.

THE HU – RUMBLE OF THUNDER DELUXE
Originally released in September 2022, The HU‘s sophomore album Rumble of Thunder receives the deluxe reissue treatment this week.
The new set includes acoustic tracks and collaborations, including their Top 10 hit “This Is Mongol” featuring a guest appearance from Alice In Chains vocalist William DuVall.

LUCINDA WILLIAMS – STORIES FROM A ROCK N ROLL HEART
Seven months after releasing her Grammy-nominated Good Souls Better Angels in 2020, Americana singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams suffered a stroke which resulted in an inability to play guitar for several months.
Luckily, the well-respected songwriter has returned this week with her fifteenth studio album, Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart. The album’s second single, “Stolen Moments”, is a tribute to Tom Petty which previously appeared on 2021’s Lu’s Jukebox Vol. 1 – Runnin’ Down a Dream: A Tribute to Tom Petty.
