ED HARCOURT – EL MAGNIFICO
After releasing instrumental albums in 2018 (Beyond the End) & 2020 (Monochrome to Colour) and a rock album with his band Loup GarouX (2021’s Strangerlands), Ed Harcourt returns this week with his latest album, El Magnifico. Harcourt will play the First Avenue mainroom in June when he opens for The Church and The Afghan Whigs.

AARON LEWIS – THE HILL
Staind vocalist Aaron Lewis, who had a #1 country single with 2021’s “Am I the Only One”, offers up his fifth solo country album, The Hill.
The Hill contains “Made In China”, which went Top 5 on the iTunes Country Chart.

GENRE: SADBOY is Machine Gun Kelly‘s collaborative LP with rapper Trippie Redd. The duo previously collaborated on the single “Candy” from MGK’s 2019 album, Hotel Diablo.

PRIMUS • PUSCIFER • A PERFECT CIRCLE – SESSANTA E.P.P.P.
In celebration of his upcoming 60th birthday, Maynard James Keenan announced the Sessanta Tour, which will feature Primus and his two non-Tool bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer.
Those three bands are all featured on the new Sessanta E.P.P.P. split EP, which features Maynard on all three tracks.

RIDE – INTERPLAY
Influential English shoegaze band Ride are back with their seventh album, Interplay. It’s the band’s third album since reuniting in 2014 after an 18 year breakup.

THE ROCKY VALENTINES – ERASE
After releasing the self-titled debut EP in 2022 and and a split EP with Starflyer 59 in 2023, The Rocky Valentines have released their debut LP, Erase. Charles Martin (offspring of Starflyer 59 leader Jason Martin) handles all vocals, guitars and drums on Erase.
According to The Rocky Valentines‘ Bandcamp page, Erase mixes “mixes Grant Hart’s earworm melodies with Tony Iommi’s heavier-than-hell guitar riffs” combining “it all with a measured restraint, allowing his [Charles Martin’s] to shine without a lot of studio trickery.”

Sarah Shook released two albums in 2022; Nightroamer with the Disarmers, and the debut album from Mightmare.

TOUCHING – I CAN BE TWO PEOPLE AT ONCE
Touching is the latest project from former Les Jupes singer Michael Falk. I Can Be Two People at Once follows 2021’s littleworlds and 2020’s Isolation Blues.
This is far and away the piece of art I am most proud of making. I hit some writers block, I hit more than a few creative walls, I had to try and break some old process habits. But it was time for a change, and it’s been so rewarding to try and take things to a new place.
