After losing star running back Mo Ibrahim in week one against Ohio State, the Gophers managed to edge out a 31-26 win against Miami (Ohio) at home thanks to a huge afternoon by back up RB Trey Potts. While the Gophers passing game was quite lackluster, Trey Potts 178 yard, 2 touchdown ground effort was enough to hold off the Red Hawks and improve Minnesota’s record to 1-1 for the season.
