The Minnesota United home opener was an exciting one, both on and off the field. A constant freezing rain during the game did not stop over 18,000 to attend the game, but which was stopped in the second have for a 74 minute lightning delay. After a very early goal for Nashville SC, the Loons scored the equalizer after the delay when Hassani Dotson kicked a deflection into the net at close range, leading to a 1-1 draw. The United’s next game is at the New York Red Bulls on March 13th, and they return home on Saturday March 19th against San Jose.
